Privacy Policy – PetSitter Companion

This Privacy Policy explains, in line with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law – LGPD (Law No. 13.709/2018), how the PetSitter Companion app handles user information.

By using PetSitter Companion, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Controller and contact information

For LGPD purposes, the person responsible for the processing of personal data (controller) in the context of PetSitter Companion is the app developer.

2. Collection of personal data

PetSitter Companion is designed to not collect, log, or transmit personal data to any remote servers, whether owned by the developer or by third parties.

In particular:

• No user account or cloud profile is created.

• We do not collect your name, ID number, address, phone, email, photo, location, or any other identifiable personal data.

• We do not use cookies, advertising identifiers, tracking SDKs, or analytics tools that send data to third parties.

Therefore, as a general rule, there is no personal data processing by the developer outside your own device.

3. User-entered data and legal basis

All information you enter into the app (for example, pet name, habits, routines, reminders, notes) is stored exclusively on your device, in encrypted form.

This data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app (organizing and managing information related to pet care).

From an LGPD standpoint:

• Processing is limited to your own device and under your control.

• The developer does not access this data, does not process it on servers, and does not use it for any other purpose.

If, in specific situations, you contact us by email and voluntarily provide personal data (for example, your name, email, or details about your use of the app), such processing will be based on:

• LGPD Article 7(I) – consent; and/or

• LGPD Article 7(V) and (IX) – performance of contract and regular exercise of rights, as applicable.

This data sent by email will be used only for support, customer service, or to respond to your request.

4. Local storage and security

Data entered into PetSitter Companion is:

• Stored locally on your device;

• Protected by local encryption mechanisms, when supported by the operating system;

• Not transmitted to the developer’s or third-party servers.

You are responsible for the physical and logical security of your device (such as screen lock, biometrics, OS updates, and use of antivirus).

In case of loss, theft, or compromise of your device, the developer has no access to read, restore, or delete the data stored locally.

5. Sharing of data with third parties

PetSitter Companion does not share personal data with third parties, including:

• Advertising companies or ad networks;

• Analytics platforms;

• Social networks;

• Other business partners.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.

6. Data subject rights (LGPD)

Under the LGPD, you have several rights, including:

• Confirmation of the existence of processing;

• Access to your data;

• Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;

• Deletion of data processed based on consent;

• Information about data sharing;

• Revocation of consent, where applicable.

As a rule, the developer does not have access to the data entered in the app, since it is stored only on your device. Therefore:

• You can exercise control over your data directly in the app, by editing or deleting information.

• You can uninstall the app or clear its data in your system settings to permanently remove the information stored locally.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because PetSitter Companion does not store data on servers:

• Data entered in the app remains on your device as long as the app is installed or until you delete it manually.

• When you uninstall the app or clear its data in your system settings, the information is removed from the device and cannot be recovered by the developer.

Personal data eventually received by email (support/contact) will be retained only for as long as necessary to respond to your request and comply with applicable legal obligations. After this period, it may be deleted or anonymized.

8. Children and adolescents

The app is not specifically directed at children, but it also does not collect personal data on remote servers.

If, through email contact, we identify the provision of personal data concerning children or adolescents, we may request confirmation of consent from legal guardians or delete such data, in accordance with the LGPD.

9. International data transfers

Since there is no server-side data collection, no international transfers of personal data occur in relation to the use of PetSitter Companion.

If, in email communication, any email service uses servers located abroad, such transfer will be governed by the terms and policies of the email provider used by you and/or by the developer.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app, amendments to applicable law or its interpretation, or to incorporate improved data protection practices.

The “Last updated” date will be adjusted whenever relevant changes are made. Your continued use of the app after a new version is made available will constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
